It wasn't supposed to be like this. It is with great sadness that we pay tribute to our primary artist Vince, whose passion for creating was evident in every piece. His unique style and perspective on the world is inspiring.
We miss you, even though the real you died a long time ago. Vince will always be remembered for his spirit, and his art will remain as a lasting legacy to his life. We thank you, for you will always live in our hearts.
This collection is what was left unfinished; it remains here in raw form.
In addition to these fragments of music, a few notes survive of the thinking that was going into the project:
fragments will likely be used in different contexts as splotches of color -creative mixing is a tentpole idea on this, as our prior work favors a very dry style.
Choosing a sound is step 1, then the music content.
Harmony tends to follow naturally in this process, but it's limiting of possibilities if one cannot stop hearing the timbre of playback
-the process is like sewing a quilt, one fragment at a time things are tied together into bigger context
-or maybe planting a seed; from a tiny delicate thing into a tree.
The goal is to turn ones entire life into art.
These pieces of music were the initial explorations of these written ideas; we were excited to see how it might turn out.
